Belts and Hip Belts for your gowns

A waistbelt is a quick and easy fix to fit saggy dresses at the waist and create a better silhouette.
Belts can carry belt pouches for incidentials like keys and pocket change. This comes in handy if the dress itself does not have pockets.
Decorated waistbelts can be great eyecatchers that show heraldry, honor badges (champion's belt) or dangling jewelry.

Hip belts (or Y-belts) are a great add-on. They work best with fitted dresses, or in combination with a waistbelt. A hip belt is placed on the upper hip bone and creates the optical illusion of longer legs. This makes the wearer seem taller and can enhance the otherwordly delicate bodyshape of i.e. elves and fae folk.
